Create a basic expense worksheet.
Demo · A step-by-step example worksheet with clear columns, fictional entries and a simple review process.
Demo content: original sample text for testing the website layout. Replace or edit before using it as a finished publication.
Set up four columns
Start your expense worksheet with Date, Description, Category and Amount. Use one row per completed payment. Give refunds their own rows and state whether you use negative numbers for them.
Check a small example
Enter three fictional payments: notebooks, 6; bus fare, 3; lunch, 7. The sample total is 16. Check this small example manually before adding a larger set of transactions. Consistent number formatting makes mistakes easier to notice.
Write a review note
Below the table, explain what period it covers and what is missing. For example, a card-only export might not include cash purchases. This is a worksheet demonstration, not financial advice or a recommended spending plan.
